AFTER THE BREAK

A break can be a pause. It can also be a fracture. Sometimes, it is both.

This series began with something that didn’t go as planned.

A piece of wax that was too thick and difficult to work with was bent, abandoned and forgotten for almost a year. I returned to it during a particularly intense and emotional period in my life, when I needed to translate what I was feeling into something physical.

When I unfolded the wax, I discovered an unexpected texture — raw, fractured and completely impossible to recreate intentionally.

I kept it.

And cast in silver.

The resulting pieces carry the marks of resistance, accident and transformation.

AFTER THE BREAK is about the forms we find after interruption — when something doesn’t return to what it was, but becomes something else instead.
